History

Veritaaq was founded in 1983 to respond to the growing need for specialized IT expertise in Canada’s federal government. Between 1983 and 1995, Veritaaq built a reputation as a boutique firm with a dependable staff of in-house experts on which government departments could draw to augment their resources.

In 1995, Veritaaq’s management team envisioned a new future. With the pace of technology change increasing and demand for resource flexibility at a premium, the firm moved from an employee to a contractor based model. This allowed Veritaaq to draw on a deeper pool of talent for its clients, while providing more flexible and rewarding work for its consultants. Over the next decade, Veritaaq became a leading IT services firm in the National Capital Region and a top ten supplier of IT consulting services to the federal government.

Veritaaq’s next major transformation occurred in 2006 when the current management team saw a bigger future: become a national leader in IT consulting services. Over the next five years, Veritaaq added offices in Toronto and Montreal, aggressively expanded its client base in the private sector, and tripled annual revenue.

Today, Veritaaq is a trusted partner of leading organizations in the telecommunications and financial services industries including Bell, Rogers, Scotiabank and Telus, and a top three supplier of IT consulting services to Canada’s federal government. We continue to grow.
